🔶 Introduction to the "Great Compassion Repentance"
The full name of the "Great Compassion Repentance" is the "Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Great Compassion Dharani Repentance Ritual." It is a supreme practice established by combining the "Great Compassion Mantra" and selected verses from the "Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Great Compassion Dharani Sutra." This practice integrates offerings, reverence, vows, and repentance, making it one of the most popular repentance rituals. Participating devoutly in the Great Compassion Repentance Puja fosters a sense of humility and inspires the Bodhi Mind. This devotion invites blessings from Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, dispelling obstacles, increasing merits, and bringing auspicious outcomes. As the verse says: "In every place where prayers are made, responses are received; In the ocean of suffering, the Bodhisattva becomes a ferryboat to save beings."

🔶 Special Introduction to the Compassionate Medicine Buddha Repentance
The 30th Day of the 9th Lunar Month marks the Holy Birthday of Medicine Buddha. Medicine Buddha made Twelve Great Vows, all dedicated to bringing peace, health, and ultimate enlightenment to all sentient beings. Those who sincerely venerate Medicine Buddha and cultivate according to the Dharma will certainly be compassionately protected and received by Medicine Buddha and all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

The Compassionate Medicine Buddha Repentance states:
“Ordinary beings have limited ability and may not be able to fully perform the elaborate offerings and adornments described in the scriptures. Therefore, this Repentance Ritual for Dispelling Calamities and Extending Life was translated from the Medicine Buddha Sutra of Original Vows and Merits, enabling practitioners, lay devotees, and monastics to gather in temples or homes, to offer as best as they can. By faithfully following the ritual in recitation and prostration before the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, their sincere aspirations will be fulfilled.”
