V311 – Supporting the “Buddha’s Twelve Deeds of Enlightenment” Dharma Education Exhibition

🌼 As disciples of the Buddha, may we rejoice in the Dharma and, through contemplating the Twelve Deeds, awaken the light of wisdom.

✨ Merits of Dharma Giving 
☘️ As stated in the Diamond Sutra:
“If one were to fill the three thousand great thousand worlds with the seven precious treasures and offer them to the Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas, the merit gained would not equal that of upholding even a four-line verse of the Buddha’s teachings and inspiring boundless faith in others.”
☘️ Supporting Buddhist education is a noble act of Dharma giving, enabling the teachings to flourish and be passed down continuously.

✨ Background of the Exhibition 
☘️ Shakyamuni Buddha, out of great compassion, descended into this (Saha world) to liberate beings burdened by afflictions. Over countless aeons, He accumulated vast merit and wisdom, ultimately manifesting in this world to teach the Dharma and guide beings out of suffering and the cycle of birth and death.
☘️ The Buddha’s appearance in the world is traditionally described through the Twelve Deeds of Enlightenment, as praised in classical texts—beginning from descending from Tuṣita Heaven, entering the womb, birth, mastering worldly skills, renunciation, ascetic practice, overcoming Māra, attaining enlightenment, turning the Wheel of Dharma, and finally entering Parinirvāṇa—continuously benefiting beings in all realms.

☘️ In celebration of this auspicious Vesak, Ban Foo Monastery presents the “Buddha’s Twelve Deeds of Enlightenment” Dharma Education Exhibition:
☘️ Sacred Journey Experience: Beautifully curated thematic zones depicting each of the Twelve Deeds, presenting the Buddha’s and complete life journey.
Offering & Merit Cultivation: Devotees may make offerings at designated stations to cultivate blessings.
☘️ Featured Focus Areas: Special in-depth presentations on four key stages — Descent from Tuṣita Heaven, Entering the Womb, Turning the Wheel of Dharma, and Entering Nirvāṇa.

✨ Offering Merit
By contributing to the Monastery and supporting the Sangha, the donor’s blessings will continuously grow and be inexhaustible.

During the Vesak celebration period (9 days), Ban Foo Monastery will specially prepare a “Dharma Education Patron Merit Board” bearing the donor’s name, displayed at the exhibition area, and blessings will be dedicated on the day of the puja.
