LF34 – Prayer Lamp Offering to Maitreya Bodhisattva

By this merit, may all sentient beings
be reborn directly into Tushita Heaven.
May we dwell in the sublime Dharma palaces
and become disciples of the Noble Maitreya.

🍃  Merits of Maitreya Bodhisattva
🪔 Maitreya, meaning “The Compassionate One,” is also known as Ajita Bodhisattva, “The Unconquerable.”
🪔 All who behold him, hear his speech, or encounter his presence naturally give rise to the meditative concentration of great loving-kindness. Therefore, throughout the ten directions, bodhisattvas address him as “The Compassionate One,” a title he will bear until he becomes a Buddha.
🪔 Before Shakyamuni Buddha descended into our world, he crowned Maitreya and entrusted him as his successor. Thus, Maitreya is known as “The One Who Succeeds the Sage” and “The Future Buddha.”
🪔 Maitreya currently abides in the Inner Court of Tushita Heaven and composed the famed Five Treatises of Maitreya:
 Ornament of Clear Realization, Ornament of the Sutras, Discrimination Between Middle and Extremes, Discrimination of Dharmas and Dharmata, and The Sublime Continuum.

🍃 Merits of the Offering
🪔 Supporting the construction and development of the Monastery, ensuring the Dharma remains and spreads widely.
🪔 Any remaining funds will continue to support the monastery's Dharma propagation efforts, benefit sentient beings, and support the Sangha's education and livelihood, thereby increasing the donor’s blessings and merits.

🍃 Blessings & Dedication
🪔 The Monastery will prepare a Radiant Prayer Lamp on behalf of the donor and offer it to the Supreme Maitreya Bodhisattva. May the donor follow the bodhisattva path like Maitreya, embody great loving-kindness, and be guided by Maitreya life after life. May they realize the Three Principal Aspects of the Path and ultimately attain Buddhahood.
