Wondrous Melody Piano Offering

◈ Offering Pure and Wondrous Music to the Buddha, Cultivating Vast Merits and Wisdom Through Wholesome Affinities

The Lotus Sutra praises offering songs and music to the Buddhas as a means of planting wholesome roots. Likewise, the Avatamsaka Sutra extols praising the virtues of the Buddhas with sublime and wondrous sounds as a profound form of offering. Therefore, offering a piano for the temple's Dharma propagation, Buddhist chanting, Buddhist education, or community practice enables more people to hear the Dharma, develop faith, and allows the merit to grow in proportion to the benefit it brings to sentient beings.

Merits: 
Offering Sound to the Three Jewels – Offer pure and harmonious music to the Three Jewels, increasing reverence and accumulating blessings.
Adorning the Temple – Enhance the dignity of Dharma assemblies, group practice, and Buddhist chanting, inspiring more people to joyfully learn the Buddha's teachings.
Supporting Dharma Propagation – A donated piano becomes a skillful means for spreading the Dharma, allowing more people to draw close to Buddhism through music.
Inspiring Wisdom – Participation in Buddhist music and chanting cultivates concentration, harmony, and wholesome intentions.
Creating Vast Wholesome Affinities – Whenever others benefit from hearing the Dharma, chanting, or participating in practice, the donor also shares in the rejoicing merit.

The temple will dedicate the Wondrous Melody Piano Offering in the donor's name, offer it before the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and include the donor in prayers for blessings and protection during two Dharma assemblies.
